We welcome you to join our community through a range of opportunities for social interaction and support available to anyone including our beautiful community garden to enjoy and our on-site community support such as shower and laundry facilities, food support and bread cart.

You will find our friendly community to be free of judgement and here to help you in any way we can. Whether it’s a warm shower, a delicious meal, a friendly chat or simply a potter in our community garden, you’ll feel at home here.

Community Garden

Our community garden is a beautiful and welcoming shared space where people can sit, relax, get involved or chat. It provides an opportunity and place to meet others, make new friends and learn new skills.

Our garden boasts fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, natives, ornamental plants and even a pizza oven. All fresh produce is made available to the community to purchase and excess produce is given to those in need.

The Murray Bridge Community Centre Garden continues to evolve and develop thanks to the dedication and commitment of an amazing team of volunteers.

Shower And Laundry

A unique service that gives those who are experiencing homelessness or hardship the opportunity to shower and wash their clothes.

This service is available to individuals and families and is offered in a manner that maintains dignity and confidentiality. While accessing the shower, laundry facilities and personal care items, we also encourage visitors to connect with our volunteers and access the additional services offered at the centre.

This service is designed to foster a sense of belonging and increase wellbeing, while satisfying an essential need.

Share the Dignity

Access to Free Period Products

Share the Dignity has partnered with the Centre to offer sanitary items to those who need them, working towards ending period poverty. Simply ask our friendly reception team or chat to one of our Haven volunteers.

Bread Cart or Food Assistance

Our Bread Cart is provided daily and offers bakery goods, non-perishables items, and the occasional cold produce.

This service is accessible to any members of the community in need of assistance, with priority given to those who need it most. Any donations received from this service are used to support the community shower and laundry.

Spirited Men's Group Community Breakfast

A free community breakfast provided by the Spirited Men’s Group. Held fortnightly on Fridays at the front of the centre (weather permitting). Enjoy a delicious BBQ breakfast in a comfortable setting, and connect with others in our community. Barbecue not held during winter months, pop inside for a toastie and a warm drink instead!

Everyone is welcome

We love a chat!

Our team across all areas of the Centre are friendly and welcoming. We always encourage a cuppa and a chat. There is often an opportunity to connect with others and share in laughter, life challenges or even your latest Netflix recommendations.
